4.2L and 5.8L engines with a vacuum
delay valve.
There is a tee with a restrictor in the
Thermactor Vacuum control line. The
restrictor must be uncapped during the
test. Replace the cap after testing. Refer
to drawing for location of restrictor on
the TAD vacuum line (4.2L engines) or
the TAB vacuum line (5.8L engines).
6) Have a Pencil and Paper Ready.

7) Go to SELF-TEST PART 2: Key On
Engine Off (KOEO) Self-Test.
