The transmission should be drained
and refilled with new fluid when this
service is shown on the information
display or multi-information display
(depending on models).
Remove the dipstick (yellow loop)
from the transmission, and wipe it
with a clean cloth.
If you are not sure how to add fluid
or you do not have the proper
equipment to reach the transmission
fluid fill hole, you should have this
maintenance done by a skilled
technician.
Park the vehicle on level ground.
Start the engine until the radiator
fan comes on and rotate it once.
Turn off the engine. For accurate
results, wait at least 60 seconds,
andnomorethan90seconds,
after turning off the engine to
check the fluid level.
Check the fluid level with the engine
at normal operating temperature.
Insert the dipstick all the way into
the transmission securely as
shown in the illustration.
Remove the dipstick and check
the fluid level. It should be
between the upper and lower
marks.
