MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE
It is advisable to have the oil firing system serviced annually by a
competent engineer, if only to comply with statutory requirements.
Cleaning the burner:
Fan, mixing system, ignition device. Change the nozzle and drip
stop if necessary, and the gasket on the mixing system. Then take
measurements to check.
When changing the nozzle, use only the replacement nozzles
listed in the table on p.13.
FLAME MONITORING
Checking the flame detector. Use the test socket with an
ammeter or multimeter.
The signal flow should not exceed 5.5 A during the pre-purge
phase. If it does, check the position of the ignition electrodes.
During operation the measurement signal must lie in the range
of > 90 A. Otherwise lockouts may occur. To ensure correct
functioning of the flame detector, it should be activated and
obscured so that the flame is extinguished. The automatic oil
firing device repeats and goes into error mode.
