Adaptec SCSI Card 29160 User’s Reference
What if there is no SCSI Controller icon under Device Manager, or the
software driver for the Adaptec SCSI Card 29160 does not appear
under Device Manager?
If the SCSI Controller icon or the software driver do not appear

Double-click the Add New Hardware icon in Control Panel.

Click Next to begin installing your new hardware.

Select the Yes (recommended), and Next to have Windows
search for the Adaptec SCSI Card 29160.

Follow the on-screen instructions.
If Windows 95/98 does not detect the Adaptec SCSI Card 29160,
obtain the driver from the computer manfacturer and run the Add
New Hardware Wizard again:

Double-click the Add New Hardware icon in Control Panel.

Select Next to begin installing your new hardware.

Select No, and click Next to select the type of hardware you
want to install.

Select SCSI controllers from the Hardware types, and click
Next.
Note:
The 29160 will not appear on the Models list when
Adaptec is selected from the Manufacturers list.

Click Have Disk… and follow the instructions that appear on
the screen.

Select 29160, 29160N, 29160B, CPQ29160, Ultra160 PCI SCSI
Controller.
How can I check the status of a resource such as IRQ, Memory, or I/O?

Right click on My Computer.

Select Properties from the menu.

Click the Device Manager tab.

Double-click the Computer icon.

On the View Resources tab, click the option button for the type
of resource you want to check:
