Overview

The Twister Arcade product is a physical skill game designed for up to four players, where hand and foot coordination are key to earning tickets. The game challenges players to move their hands or feet to designated colors on a large game floor and maintain their positions for as many rounds as possible.

Usage Features:

  • Gameplay: Players stand on designated spots and follow on-screen prompts to place their hands or feet on specific colored circles. The goal is to hold these positions for as many rounds as possible.
  • Operator Menu: Accessible via a white button behind the center door of the cabinet. Navigation is done using numerical pad keys "1" (PREVIOUS), "2" (SELECT), and "3" (NEXT).
  • Settings (Operator Menu):
    • Attract Audio Volume: Adjusts the volume of the voice attract loop (0-20, 0 mutes).
    • Game Audio Volume: Adjusts the in-game audio volume (0-20, 0 mutes).
    • Voice Attract Volume: Adjusts the in-game voice volume (0-20, 0 mutes).
    • Tickets Value: Sets the value of physical tickets (1 or 2 tickets).
    • Minimum Tickets: Adjusts the minimum number of tickets dispensed per play (0-20).
    • Redemption Mode: Toggles redemption availability (On/Off).
    • Redemption Unit Name: Adjusts in-game text accordingly (Tickets/Coupon).
    • New Jersey Settings: If On, displays a message if more than 40 credits are inserted (On/Off).
    • Bonus Value: Sets the maximum number of tickets that can be won when a player reaches the bonus wheel (100-2000).
    • Clear Credits: Resets inserted credits to 0 if more than 40 credits are entered.
  • Payments (Operator Menu):
    • Credits Per Game: Adjusts the number of credits required to play (1-20, 0 for free play).
    • Credit Sharing: Toggles credit sharing between players (On/Off). If card readers are used, it is recommended to set this to OFF.
    • Payment Type: Changes the credit type (Credits for coins, Card for card reader). This affects in-game text.
  • Software Recovery: A process that takes 25-30 minutes, restoring the unit to default settings. Requires a USB keyboard and a provided USB Recovery flash disk (Black USB port, UEFI: USB device ~16GB). Wireless credentials and operator settings will need to be re-entered after recovery.
  • Wireless Internet Configuration: The unit can be configured via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. A 150-second delay at boot allows for wireless network connection. To configure Wi-Fi:
    1. Start the unit.
    2. Open the service door and press the Operator button.
    3. Choose Exit/Quit to Windows.
    4. Connect a USB hub, keyboard, and mouse.
    5. Click the network icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
    6. Select the desired network and click connect.
    7. Enter the security key.
    8. Once connected, double-click the GameLauncher shortcut on the desktop.
    • Note: Connecting to the internet enables free software live updates. If not connected, the "Disable_Network" shortcut on the desktop can bypass the 150-second delay.
  • Card Reader (Embed System): For Embed systems, harnesses connect to the Adrenaline Amusements I/O board. Typical Embed settings are Standard, with specific configurations for Ticket Mech Type (Dumb DC), Drive Polarity (Positive), Notch Polarity (Negative), Game ticket notch width (6), Game ticket notch spacing (24), Game Drive Threshold (15), and Drive Debounce (40ms).

Maintenance Features:

  • Assembly: Requires at least two people. Involves positioning the floor assembly on the cabinet, securing it with screws, installing the floor LED cover, adjusting levellers, positioning top display brackets, installing side headers, securing the center header, and connecting all harnesses and cables (HDMI, power, USB for camera and LED Matrix, 4-pin and 2-pin connectors).
  • Troubleshooting:
    • No Picture or Display: Verify monitor and computer connections (DVI, HDMI cables), ensure the computer is powered on (check fan spinning, press Power Button).
    • Low Volume / No Sound: Increase volume via the Operator Menu or Windows desktop (speaker icon). Verify speaker and amplifier wirings, and ensure the 1/8" audio jack is plugged into the computer's sound input jack and RCA's into the amplifier.
    • RGB LED Troubleshooting:
      1. Verify the RGB LED Controller is connected to a valid COM Port.
      2. Exit the game to Windows desktop.
      3. Connect a USB mouse.
      4. Right-click on the Windows flag, select Device Manager.
      5. Expand "Ports (COM & LPT)" and verify "USB Serial Device" is between COM2 and COM9.
      6. If outside range, double-click, go to "Port Settings" tab, click "Advanced...", select COM9 from "COM Port Number" scrolling menu, click OK, then OK again.
      7. Close Device Manager and restart Windows.
    • Operator Settings Resetting: Disable Windows & SSD Device write cache:
      1. Exit game to Windows.
      2. Press Start, right-click My Computer, choose Properties.
      3. Click Device Manager, expand Disk Drives.
      4. Double-click SSD Hard Drive (60Gb or 120Gb, not USB drive).
      5. Go to Policies tab.
      6. Remove check from "Enable Write caching on the device," press OK, then YES to reboot. If no reboot prompt, manually restart.
    • Computer Not Powering at Boot: Verify BIOS Setting for Secure Boot:
      1. Power off computer.
      2. Plug in USB keyboard and mouse.
      3. Power on, press and hold F12 to enter BIOS.
      4. Navigate to Security tab, select Secure Boot, ensure it's Enabled.
  • Warranty: 1-year warranty against defective hardware from the date of delivery. Covers replacement parts and standard shipping for issues not caused by abuse or improper servicing. An advanced replacement program is offered, requiring return of defective equipment within 30 days or charges apply. Improper servicing or abuse voids the warranty. All warranty requests require validation from the technical support department. After 1 year, repair and sales services are available.
