Ensure remote is within 15 feet of the Hub, Hub is disarmed, and pair one device at a time.
Navigate to "My Home" > "Things" > "Add a Thing" in the SmartThings app.
Press and hold "Disarm" and "Away" buttons for 5 seconds, then release.
Use the SmartThings app to scan the QR code on the back of the remote to finish setup.
Remove the QR code from the remote and attach it inside the ADT Security Hub User Guide.
Test the remote by performing a Walk Test on the ADT Security Hub and checking status.
If professional monitoring is active, follow app instructions for additional testing after connecting a new device.
Press Away for 2 seconds to arm the ADT Security Hub, arming detectors.
Press Disarm for 2 seconds to disarm the ADT Security Hub and its detectors.
Press Stay for 2 seconds to arm the ADT Security Hub in Stay Mode, arming specific detectors.
Press * and Stay buttons for 3 seconds to send a panic alert (requires optional monitoring).
Use the remote to arm/disarm the system and control connected devices like lights or thermostats.
Use the remote to initiate optional professional monitoring for intrusions or activate lights upon arrival.
