(actually
the
secondary
function
of
the

key)
is
used
to
terminate
unitless
parameter
entries
.
It
can
also
be
used
to
return
the
display
to
its
default
state
.
The
4
Hz
5
(ENTER)
key
is
used
to
terminate
unitless
parameter
entries
.
The
unitless
parameters
are
multiplier
values
,
special
function
numbers
,
instrument
state
register
numbers
,
level
correction
register
numbers
,
and
the
synthesizer
and
power
meter
HP-IB
addresses
.
The
ENTER
key
can
also
be
used
to
return
the display
to its
default state
.
When
the
display
is
in
the
default
state
,
the display
shows frequency
and
power
level.
In
the
display
default
state
,
no
parameters are
active.
To
use the
ENTER
key
to
return
the
display
to
the
default
state
,
press the
ENTER key
without
rst
pressing
a numeric
key (that
is
,
the
keys
numbered
0
through
9).
F
or
example
,if
a multiplier
value of
5
is
entered,
the
display
will
continue
to
show
FREQUENCY
MULTIPLIER
5
after
the entry
is
terminated
with
the
cursor
(
9
)
over
the 5.
Pressing
ENTER
again
will
return
the
display
to
the
default
state
mentioned
above
.
Equivalent SCPI
Command
There
is
no equivalent
SCPI command
for the
ENTER
key
,
however
,
sending
the
\SY
ST:KEY 58"
command is
eectively the
same as
pressing
the
ENTER
key.
