What to do if my Aircel Dryer system is not working properly and there is water downstream?

      Amber ClineAug 8, 2025
If your Aircel Dryer system isn't working correctly and there's water downstream, several factors could be at play. The refrigeration compressor might be stopping because of a dirty condenser coil, leading to high pressure, so you should clean the condensing coil and make sure the unit has enough ventilation. Another reason could be the refrigeration compressor cycles on and off and can't keep suction pressure, in that case, inspect the condensing coil for any obstructions. If clear, use refrigerant pressure gauges to see if the unit is low on refrigerant. Also consider the possibility of low refrigerant levels, possibly due to a leak in the air-to-refrigerant side of the heat exchanger, so you should repair or replace the heat exchanger and recharge the system according to specifications.

Why is there water downstream of my Aircel Dryer system or no discharge from the separator/filter?
    • K
      Kylie MorganAug 17, 2025
There are several reasons why you might find water downstream of your Aircel Dryer system or a lack of discharge from the separator/filter. It could be due to a failed or short-circuited timer on the drain or a failed drain solenoid, in which case you should replace the timer drain. Another cause may be bulk liquid entering the dryer from upstream, so check the drains on the aftercooler or air compressor. Also, verify that the inlet compressed air temperature and CFM flow rate to the dryer do not exceed the dryer's capacity; adjust as needed to meet specifications. A leak in the air-to-air heat exchanger can also cause this issue, requiring replacement of the heat exchanger.

If you notice water downstream from your Aircel Dryer system, or if there's no discharge from the separator/filter, it could be due to several reasons. It might be due to a failed or short-circuited timer on the drain, in which case you should replace the timer drain. Another reason might be a failed drain solenoid, which also requires replacing the timer drain. Also, check the drains on the after cooler or air compressor. If the inlet compressed air temperature or CFM flow rate exceeds the dryer capacity, adjust them as required to meet specifications. Finally, a leak in the air-to-air side of the heat exchanger could be the cause, necessitating a heat exchanger replacement.
