How to troubleshoot an Aircommand IBIS 3 that does not turn on?
    • D
      David CruzJul 27, 2025
If your Aircommand Air Conditioner isn't turning on, begin by checking the power supply. Ensure the mains power is plugged into your van and switched on, and verify that the air conditioner's circuit breaker is also on. If the power supply is fine, check the remote control. If the screen is blank, replace the batteries. Stand close to the unit, point the remote at the IR receiver, and test its operation. If there's no 'beep,' replace the batteries again. You can also test the air conditioner using the manual operation button.

Why is my Aircommand IBIS 3 not cooling or heating properly?
    • N
      nramirezAug 4, 2025
If your Aircommand Air Conditioner isn't cooling or heating well, several factors could be at play. Start by checking the return air filter; a blocked filter reduces efficiency, so remove, clean, and replace it—ideally every 4 weeks, or more often with heavy use. Ensure that at least two air outlets are open, as performance decreases if they are closed; for the best results, open all four fully. Also, verify that the outside fan air intake isn't blocked by debris. Other factors include high outside air temperatures during cooling, which can be mitigated by reducing heat load, and low outside air temperatures during heating. Intermittent operation may occur during very hot days due to compressor overload or during cold mornings as the unit enters de-ice mode.

What to do if the 'Fan' indicator light on my Aircommand IBIS 3 Air Conditioner is flashing rapidly?
    • M
      mariamooreAug 11, 2025
If the ‘Fan’ indicator light on the plenum of your Aircommand Air Conditioner is flashing rapidly, it indicates a fault condition. Here’s what the flashes mean: 4 rapid flashes indicate the inside coil is not cooling (“E4”), 5 rapid flashes indicate a return air sensor fault (“E1”), 6 rapid flashes indicate an inside coil sensor fault (“E2”), 7 rapid flashes indicate an outside coil sensor fault (“E3”), and 8 rapid flashes indicate an outside coil over temperature (“E5”). Contact Aircommand Australia for specialist advice on fault correction and access to our service agents.

Why is water leaking from my Aircommand IBIS 3 Air Conditioner on the roof of my caravan?
    • T
      tramirezAug 18, 2025
Water draining from your Aircommand Air Conditioner on the caravan roof is usually normal. In cooling mode, this is condensate water removed from the air inside your van, which helps dehumidify and improve comfort. Close doors, windows, and hatches in humid conditions, and run the inside fan on High or Medium. In heating mode, the water is from melted ice during de-ice cycles, which is also normal. The unit will resume normal operation after the ice melts.
