What to do if the AirSep AS-20 Oxygen Equipment doesn't operate, the green light is on, the amber light is off, and the oxygen pressure is low?
    • L
      Logan GarciaAug 22, 2025
If your AirSep Oxygen Equipment doesn't operate, the green light is on, the amber light is off, the switch is set to AUTO, and the oxygen pressure is less than 275 kPa (40 psig), it could be due to several reasons. The ON/OFF switch might be set to OFF, or the switch itself could be defective. There might be a loose or defective power wire to the circuit board, the pressure switch could be improperly set or defective, or the circuit board might be faulty. To resolve this: * Ensure the ON/OFF switch is set to ON. * Replace the ON/OFF switch if it's defective. * Repair or replace any loose or defective wiring. * Adjust the pressure switch as described in Chapter 7. * Replace the pressure switch if necessary. * Replace the circuit board if it's defective.

Why does my AirSep AS-20 run continuously, but the oxygen pressure is low?
    • W
      wellslindseyAug 25, 2025
If your AirSep Oxygen Equipment runs continuously but the oxygen pressure is less than 275 kPa (40 psig), this may be due to inadequate feed air pressure, inadequate cycle pressure, or the oxygen demand exceeding the generator's capacity. To address this, ensure the feed air valves are fully open and lines are unobstructed. Adjust or replace the feed air regulator if needed. Also, check the oxygen usage and inspect the unit, oxygen hoses, and piping for any leaks.

What causes continuous operation and high pressure in my AirSep Oxygen Equipment?
    • J
      Jacob MannAug 26, 2025
If your AirSep Oxygen Equipment operates continuously with the amber light on and the pressure exceeding 400 kPa (58 psig), it could be due to an improperly set or defective pressure switch, a loose or defective power wire to the pressure switch, or a defective AUTO/MAN switch or circuit board. Try adjusting the pressure switch as described in Chapter 7. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the pressure switch, repair or replace the wire, or replace the AUTO/MAN switch or circuit board.

How to troubleshoot an AirSep AS-20 Oxygen Equipment that won't cycle and the green light is off?
    • C
      Colleen Sullivan MDAug 28, 2025
If the green light on the ON/OFF switch of your AirSep Oxygen Equipment doesn't illuminate and the generator doesn't cycle, it could be due to a lack of electrical power or a blown fuse. Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working wall outlet. If it is, try replacing the fuse in the unit.

    Nicholas PhillipsAug 29, 2025
Why is my AirSep Oxygen Equipment outputting dust?
    • C
      Cole WangAug 29, 2025
If your AirSep Oxygen Equipment is outputting particulates (dusting), it could be due to excessive feed air pressure, a feed air regulator set above 485 kPa (70 psig), contaminated molecular sieve in adsorbers, or the system not cycling properly. Ensure the maximum feed air pressure does not exceed 1,035 kPa (150 psig) and adjust the feed air regulator.

What causes a loud chattering noise in the valve of AirSep AS-20 Oxygen Equipment?
    • J
      Jonathan JordanAug 31, 2025
A loud “chattering” noise in the valve of your AirSep Oxygen Equipment can be caused by low voltage, low voltage circuit board output, a dirty valve, a worn valve core, or a defective EMI filter. Check the power supply and replace the circuit board if necessary. You might also need to clean or rebuild the valve, or replace the EMI filter.

Why does my AirSep AS-20 work, but the green light is off?
    • D
      dennissherriSep 2, 2025
If your AirSep Oxygen Equipment operates but the green light on the ON/OFF switch doesn't illuminate, the light bulb on the switch may be burned out, or there may be a loose or defective wire to the switch. Replace the switch or the bulb (in AS-160 – AS-1000 models). Alternatively, repair or replace the wire.

Why is the amber light off when my AirSep AS-20 cycles in MAN mode?
    • G
      greenekaylaSep 4, 2025
If your AirSep Oxygen Equipment cycles with the AUTO/MAN switch set to MAN but the amber light doesn't illuminate, it could be due to a burned-out bulb, a loose or defective wire, or a defective circuit board. Replace the switch or the bulb (in AS-160 – AS-1000 models), repair or replace the wire, or replace the circuit board.

What causes very low oxygen output in AirSep AS-20 Oxygen Equipment?
    • P
      Patricia AndrewsSep 6, 2025
Very low oxygen output (21–50%) in your AirSep Oxygen Equipment can be caused by leaking check valves, a plugged muffler, or contaminated molecular sieve in adsorbers. Try cleaning or replacing the check valves, replacing the muffler, or replacing the molecular sieve.

Why are the relief valves opening on my AirSep Oxygen Equipment?
    • C
      Caitlin WilliamsSep 8, 2025
If the relief valves on your AirSep Oxygen Equipment are opening, it could be due to several reasons: the cycle pressure exceeding the maximum of 485 kPa (70 psig), a stuck or frozen feed air regulator main valve assembly, a defective cycle pressure gauge, or a defective relief valve. Adjust the feed air regulator, and if that doesn't work, rebuild or replace the regulator. Ensure the ambient temperature exceeds 4°C (40°F). Replace the gauge and adjust the feed air regulator if the gauge is defective. As a last resort, replace the relief valve.
