  If your Airwell Heat Pump is on but not heating or cooling as expected, there might be a few reasons: * The temperature setting might be incorrect. Check the controller set point (T4HMAX, T4HMIN in heat mode; T4CMAX, T4CMIN in cool mode; T4DHWMAX, T4DHWMIN in DHW mode). * The water flow could be too low. Ensure all shut-off valves in the water circuit are fully open, the water filter is clean, there's no air in the system, the water pressure is above 1 bar when cold, the expansion vessel isn't broken, and the water circuit resistance isn't too high for the pump. * The water volume in the installation might be too low. Ensure it's above the minimum required value.

Why does the water pressure relief valve open on my Airwell Monobloc R32?

  If the water pressure relief valve on your Airwell Heat Pump opens, it could be due to: the expansion vessel being broken (in which case, replace it), or the filling water pressure in the installation being higher than 0.3MPa. Make sure that the filling water pressure in the installation is about 0.15~0.20MPa.

How to fix a noisy pump (cavitation) in my Airwell Monobloc R32?

  If your Airwell Heat Pump pump is making noise (cavitation), it might be because there is air in the system (purge air). Also, water pressure at pump inlet could be too low. Check on the manometer that there is sufficient water pressure (the water pressure must be > 1 bar when water is cold). Check that the manometer and the expansion vessel are not broken. Check that the setting of the pre-pressure of the expansion vessel is correct.

  If you're experiencing a space heating capacity shortage at low outdoor temperatures with your Airwell Heat Pump, consider these points: * Ensure that the "OTHER HEATING SOURCE/ BACKUP HEATER" is enabled. * Check whether the thermal protector of the backup heater has been activated. * The backup heater and booster heater can’t operate simultaneously. * Too much heat pump capacity is used for heating domestic hot water. Check that the “t_DHWHP_MAX” and “t_DHWHP_RESTRICT” are configured appropriately. Make sure that the “DHW PRIORITY” in the user interface is disabled. Enable the “T4_TBH_ON” in the user interface/FOR SERVICEMAN to activate the booster heater for domestic water heating.

  • Set “t_DHWHP_MAX” to minimum value, the suggested value is 60min. • If circulating pump out of unit is not controlled by unit, try to connect it to the unit. • Add 3-way valve at the inlet of fan coil to ensure enough water flow. Also, the space heating load may be small, meaning no heating is needed. Finally, if the disinfect function is enabled but without TBH, disable the disinfect function or add TBH or AHS for DHW mode.

  If the water pressure relief valve on your Airwell Heat Pump leaks, dirt might be blocking the outlet. Check for correct operation of the pressure relief valve by turning the red knob on the valve counter clockwise: • If you do not hear a clacking sound, contact your local dealer. • In case the water keeps running out of the unit, close both the water inlet and outlet shut-off valves first and then contact your local dealer.
