- General Instructions for Mechanism Repair:
- Clean all heads and pinch rollers with good quality alcohol after repair to prevent wow/flutter and tape fault.
- Lubricants should be applied to surfaces of transporting parts, shafts, gears, and pinch rollers.
- Replace worn belts, idlers, and pinch rollers.
- Use only specified lubricants and parts.
- Avoid using irregular parts or tampering with the product, as this can cause deterioration, malfunction, and damage.
- Lead-Wire Handling:
- No scratch or melting of lead-wires.
- No illegibility of lead-wire markings.
- Secure lead-wires with wire-clips and binders.
- Use UL-approved lead-wires.
- Setting of Voltage Selector Switch: Ensure the voltage selector switch is set correctly (110V, 120V, 220V, or 240V) according to the local voltage.
- Insulation Resistance/Leakage Current Check: After repair, the insulation resistance or leakage current must be measured with 1500V DC and shall be not less than 1MΩ.
- Circuit Board Repair:
- Use a soldering iron with a temperature not exceeding 260°C for less than 3 seconds.
- Avoid applying excessive heat to prevent damage to printed circuit boards.
- Refer to the schematic diagrams and parts lists for correct component identification and placement.
- Safety Component Symbol: Components marked with a triangle symbol are critical for safety and should only be replaced with parts specified in the manual.
