4. X¥-VALUE ADJUSTMENT
1) Connect an oscilloscope in the same way as in FM
envelope adjustment.
2) Play the alignment tape (TTV — P2).
3) Set the tracking control (RV801) to the center.
4) Adjust the “()X-Value Adjustment Nut” so the
amplitude of the waveform on the oscilloscope is
maximum.
5) Vary the tracking control (RV801) in the + or —
direction from the center position and check that the
amplitude drops while the waveform is flat.
6) Check that there is no curling of tape at the @~
@) guides.
If it curls, perform adjustment starting from 1. TAPE
PATH COARSE ADJUSTMENT. (See Figure-1)
7) After adjustment is completed, fix the ‘® Set Screw”
and ‘® Tilt Adjustment Screw” with locking paint.
