(11) Change banks and numbers and try out many different sounds.
(Refer to the respective manuals for operation and playing of
the EWI1000 and EVI1000 controllers.)
(12) Now try adding a vibration effect. Turn the VIBRATE knob
clockwise, then for the EWI1000 apply pressure to the mouth
piece in short, quick movements, and for the EVI 1000 move
the vibration lever in short, quick movements to obtain such ef
fects as vibrato, growl, wow-wow, and tremolo.
The mode changes each time the VIB button is pressed. To obtain vi
brato, select mode (b), then use the VALUE UP and DOWN keys to
input the value you think will be most effect.
Values: 00^ No effect.
50 — Medium effect.
100 —♦ Maximum effect.

Obtaining Vibrato
Press the EDIT button to switch from the PLAY mode to the EDIT
mode. Next, press the VIB button to set to the vibration effect select
mode.

Display:
The settings of these values is closely related to the adjustment of the
VIBRATE knob. If the VIBRATE knob is set to "0", there will be no
effect. Usually use between the center and "8" position.
(13) After completing the vibrato setting, press the EDIT button
once again to return to the PLAY mode. (The editing and crea
tion of new voices will be mastered in the following section.)
NOTE: The parameters of the edited voice are set back to th
parameters before editing if you switch from the EDI.
mode to the PLAY mode and choose another bank number
without first storing the edited voice in the memory. (The
procedures for storing voices in the memory will be mas
tered in the following section.)
(14) Now try out the pitch bend effect. Touch the bend plate on the
controller. When the BEND knob is turned clockwise, the
bend width increases.
