General RV Installation
Install your Albinus toilet on a at surface. You may employ the use of a separate ush pump or an existing pressurized system (2.5 3.5 bar) for ushing. A
macerator discharge pump is incorporated into the toilet. For ushing you will need a ush pump (Albinus part no. 07-66-032 (12 V), 07-66-033 (24 V)), or if
using a pressurized central system you will need a solenoid valve (Albinus part no. 07-66-030 (12 V), 07-66-031 (24 V), or Albinus part no. 07-66-035 (12 V)).
Holding tank Pump-out tting

Pipework: general instructions
Inlet: 19 mm (¾") hose connection.
Discharge: 25 mm (1") or 38 mm (1½") hose
Spiral reinforced smooth bore exible hose for both the 19 mm (¾")
internal diameter inlet and the 25 mm (1") or 38 mm (1 ½") internal
diameter outlet hose
Stainless steel hose clips for the hoses
Secure the hose runs so that the hoses cannot move, nor exert any
leverage action on the hose tail ttings to which they are connected, as
this may cause adjacent joints to leak
Avoid sharp bends in the hoses since this might cause them to become
kinked
Keep all pipework lengths as short as possible while you are carrying out
these operations. Unnecessary inlet or outlet hose lengths just make the
toilet harder to pump.
Pipework:
Inlet: 19 mm (¾") hose
Run the inlet hose by the most direct route from the fresh water holding
tank to the ush pump and then to the ushing pump inlet connection;
or, the most direct way from the pressuized water pipe in a centralized
system.
For convenience of use, when the freshwater holding tank is situated
below the ush pump, install an in-line non-return valve between the
fresh water holding tank and the ush pump, which will ensure that the
pump stays primed in between usages.
Discharge: 25 mm (1") or 38 mm (1½") hose
Run the discharge hose to the black water holdingtank.
Mounting
Before starting the assembly, read the complete mounting instruction rst. You nee d the following:
Stainless steel bolts: 3 pcs, 8 mm (⁄ ") diameter of length to suit the thickness of the mounting surface.
Stainless steel nuts: 3 pcs preferably self-locking. If you do not use self-locking nuts you need to add locking compound on the screws-/ nuts.

Usage Features

General Installation:

The toilet should be installed on a flat surface. For flushing, either a separate flush pump (Albinus part no. 07-66-032 (12V), 07-66-033 (24V)) or a solenoid valve (Albinus part no. 07-66-030 (12V), 07-66-031 (24V), or 07-66-035 (12V)) for pressurized central systems is required. Mounting involves drilling holes, applying silicone sealant, and securing the toilet with stainless steel bolts, nuts (preferably self-locking), and washers. Nut-locking compound is recommended if self-locking nuts are not used.

Pipework:

  • Inlet: 19 mm (3/4") hose connection. The inlet hose should run directly from the fresh water holding tank to the flush pump, or from the pressurized water pipe in a centralized system. An in-line non-return valve is recommended if the freshwater holding tank is below the flush pump to ensure priming.
  • Discharge: 25 mm (1") or 38 mm (1 1/2") hose. The discharge hose should run to the black water holding tank.
  • General Pipework Guidelines: Use spiral reinforced smooth bore flexible hose. Secure hoses with stainless steel hose clips to prevent movement and leverage on fittings. Avoid sharp bends and keep pipework lengths as short as possible to ensure efficient pumping.

Electrical Connections:

The toilet's power supply circuit must be independent. Connect the battery positive terminal to a fuse of adequate capacity.

  • Rocker Switch Control Panel (07-66-025): Panel Red to positive battery (+), Panel Brown to Discharge Pump positive (brown), Panel Yellow to Flush Pump/Solenoid Valve positive (+). Flush pump/Solenoid Valve negative (-) and discharge pump negative (-) (blue) to battery negative (-).
  • Digital Control Panel (07-66-024): White wire to battery positive (+), Brown wire to positive (brown) (+) of discharge pump, Blue wire to negative (blue) (-) of discharge pump, Grey wire to battery negative (-), Black wire to negative (-) of flush pump/solenoid valve, Red wire to positive (+) of flush pump/solenoid valve.
  • Level Indicator: Albinus offers separate tank level indicators (Digital Tank Level Monitor Kit 12/24 V, part no. 03-69-017, and Tank Level Indicator Kit 12V/24V part no. 03-66-012 with probes). The control panel LEDs indicate tank levels: Red (full tank), Yellow (half tank), Green (ON).
  • Caution: Correct motor polarity is crucial to prevent damage and voiding the warranty. Do not short-circuit side probes with the central one. Do not connect other electrical appliances to the toilet's electric line.

Operating Instructions:

The toilets are designed to have the bowl empty when not in use.

  • Silent Electric and Design Silent Electric (Rocker Switch Control Panel 07-66-025):

    • Control Panel: Two buttons. Button 1 for discharge and rinse. Button 2 for rinse OR discharge.
    • Normal Use: Before use, ensure enough water in the bowl to prevent toilet paper compaction. If empty, rinse with Button 2 "Rinse". Use good quality soft RV-grade toilet paper. After use, flush with Button 1. Afterwards, discharge with Button 2 "Discharge" until the bowl is empty to minimize odor and spillage.
  • Silent Premium (Digital Control Panel 07-66-024):

    • Control Panel: Three function buttons: Before Use, After Use, Short Use, and a trimmer to regulate flow.
    • Short Use Button: For liquid waste only. Automatically rinses and discharges, leaving the bowl empty.
    • Before Use Button: Fills the bowl with water prior to use to wet sides and prevent compaction. The water level (about 5 cm/2" above discharge hole) can be adjusted by turning the trimming shafts at the back of the control panel (clockwise increases flow, counter-clockwise reduces flow).
    • After Use Button: Discharges the contents of the bowl, leaving the bowl empty.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

Regularly flush with clean water to keep the toilet clean and odor-free.

  • Bowl: Use any liquid or cream ceramic cleaner.
  • Rest of Toilet (seat and lid): Use a nonabrasive liquid cleaner. Polish with a dry cloth.
  • Disinfection: Use a liquid disinfectant diluted according to manufacturer's instructions. Apply with a sponge or soft brush.
  • Important: Always flush well after applying any cleaning or disinfecting agent. DO NOT ALLOW THESE AGENTS TO STAND IN THE SYSTEM as strong detergents can burn through rubber seals and invalidate the warranty.
  • Warning: Do not put sanitary towels, wet strength tissues, cotton wool, cigarettes, matches, chewing gum, solid objects, petrol, diesel, oil, solvents, or water warmer than hand warm into the toilet. The toilet is rated to macerate toilet paper and organic waste only.

Troubleshooting:

  • No rinse/flush water: Check the fuse. Press the "before use" button to check power to the control panel and flush pump/solenoid valve.
  • Discharge pump not working: Check the fuse. Turn the trimmer shaft on the control panel back side to minimum, then press the "after use" button to check power to the control panel and discharge pump. If issues persist, inspect the discharge pump:
    1. Disconnect main supply.
    2. Remove floor locking screws from the bowl.
    3. Loosen metal clamp and remove rubber coupling sleeve between bowl and pump.
    4. Check that the impeller turns freely and no objects are trapped.
    5. Re-assemble and tighten.
  • Repeated fuse breakage: Follow the same inspection steps as for a non-working discharge pump.
