Action in the event of rapid cycling
Limitations in a system may lead to rapid pump cycling (starts and stops within 2 seconds, recur-
ring). Pump cycling should be minimised to prevent pulsating ows and avoid unnecessary wear.
To see if adjustment is necessary, open the water tap to a constant ow. The pump should run
continuously when the tap is open. If the water pump switches on and o (at intervals of no more
than 2 seconds), adjust the pump pressure sensor. Pump pressure is usually adjusted by means
of a screw on the top of the pump housing (Fig 15). Turn clockwise to increase the pressure, anti-
clockwise to decrease the pressure.
