Starting the engine
NOTE: Before starting the mower check the oil and fuel levels. The motor
MUST be filled with 470ml of SAE 10W-30 BEFORE starting. Fresh unleaded
fuel must be used in this unit. Do NOT use Ethanol based fuels. Do NOT mix
oil with fuel.
Warrantywillbevoidiftheenginebecomesfaultyduetoinsucientoiland
fuel levels.
For starting, ensure the mower is set to the height setting so the blades are
not resting deep into the grass.
1. Move the motor throttle control (2) to the “START “ position. (Fig P)
2. Depress the priming bulb (29) fully 3 times.
3. Firmly hold the recoil starter (15) & pull slowly until resistance is felt, then
pull rapidly. (Fig Q)
4. Once the lawn mower has started and warmed
up (approximately 20-30 seconds) move the
throttle control (2) to the “RUN” position to
increase the engine speed. (Fig R)
