No function when
feeding in paper, or the
shredder switches off
during operation.
The paper is too thin,
too soft, too wet or too
creased to reliably activate
the paper sensor.
1. Fold the paper and
feed it again.
2. Set the slide switch
to REV (Reverse)
position.

Decommissioning
If you will not be using the paper shredder for an extended period of time, proceed as
follows:
1. Set the slide switch

to OFF position.
2. Unplug the power plug from the socket.
Care and cleaning
− To clean the exterior of the paper shredder, use a dry, or slightly moist, well-
wrung cloth and then thoroughly dry all parts.
− For trouble-free operation, regularly and carefully remove any remaining
scraps of paper, credit cards, or CD/DVD residue from the bottom of the paper
shredder. Use a suitable tool (e.g. a brush) for this purpose. Do not touch the
cutting unit with your fingers.
WARNING!
Risk of Electric Shock!
Always switch off the paper shredder before cleaning and
unplug the power cable.
− Allow the shredder to cool down completely before
cleaning and storing it.
− Make sure no liquid enters the interior or the motor unit
to avoid the risk of electric shock when restarting. Never
immerse the paper shredder in water.
