Improper or negligent handling of the product can result in serious injury.
− Handle the product with extra care when cutting hedges, shrubs and
bushes. Hold the product with both hands when working.
− Wear protective goggles when working to prevent flying cuttings from
hitting your eyes and injuring them.
− Stand firmly when using the product. This is particularly important if you
are stood on uneven ground or a ladder or similar whilst working.
− Walk slowly when holding the product in your hand. Do not run.
− Be careful when walking backwards. There is a risk of tripping.

If the moving cutting blades of the cutter bar come into contact with hard ob-
jects, this can damage the blades
− Before starting work, check the hedge for concealed objects such as wire
fences or fence posts.

The product cuts through thicknesses of up to 14 mm. Attempting to cut branch-
es with a diameter of more than 14 mm can damage the cutting blades of the
cutter bar.
− Do not cut branches with a diameter of more than 14 mm.
1. Check whether the hedge to be cut is wet. Wet hedges must not be cut. Also check the
hedge for concealed wires and objects such as wire fences, fence posts or similar.
2. Cut off thick branches with pruning shears or a chainsaw before you start.
