Overview

This document is a user manual for the STIRLING Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier, a device designed to increase humidity in interior spaces. The product is intended for private use and is not suitable for commercial purposes. It operates by using ultrasonic sounds to atomise water into fine mist particles, which are then released into the ambient air. The high-frequency ultrasonic sounds are imperceptible to humans and animals.

Function Description

The humidifier's primary function is to humidify interior spaces. It achieves this by converting water from its tank into a cool mist using ultrasonic technology. The mist is then discharged into the room, raising the ambient humidity. An additional feature allows for the use of essential oils to diffuse fragrance into the air. The device also includes a bottom illumination feature with blue LEDs for visual effect.

Usage Features

The humidifier is mains-operated and connects to a standard socket with an earthing contact.

  • Setting Up:

    • Place the product on an easily accessible, level, dry, heat-resistant, and stable surface, away from walls or wall cupboards to prevent heat build-up and potential furniture damage from steam.
    • Ensure the product is unplugged before adding water.
    • The water tank has a carrying handle for easy removal from the control unit.
    • To fill, turn the water tank upside down, unscrew the cap anticlockwise, and pour up to 2.8 litres of water into the opening. The water level can be monitored through a dedicated window.
    • After filling, screw the cap back on clockwise and wipe off any remaining water.
    • Place the water tank back onto the control unit with the vapour absorption unit facing downwards.
    • Connect the mains cord and plug to a socket with an earthing contact.
  • Humidification Levels:

    • The device offers three levels of humidification: High (Red), Medium (Yellow), and Low (Green).
    • Press the Power touch key to switch the product on. It will illuminate red for the High setting.
    • Press the Power touch key repeatedly to cycle through the different humidification levels, indicated by the changing colour of the key.
    • To switch off, press the Power touch key until it stops illuminating.
  • Bottom Illumination:

    • The control unit features blue LED bottom illumination.
    • Press the Light touch key to switch the illumination on. The key will illuminate blue.
    • Press the Light touch key again to switch the illumination off.
  • Refilling Water:

    • A built-in safety mechanism automatically stops humidification when the water tank is empty. The Power touch key will flash red, and no vapour will be released.
    • To resume operation, unplug the device, refill the water tank as described above, then plug it back in and switch it on.
  • Stopping Operation:

    • To switch off the product, press the Power touch key until it stops illuminating.
    • Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
  • Essential Oil Tray:

    • Essential oils can be added to a dedicated tray to diffuse fragrance.
    • Remove the lid from the water tank.
    • Remove the essential oil pad from the tray.
    • Add essential oil to the tray. The amount depends on the oil type and personal preference; start with a small amount if unsure.
    • Place the essential oil pad back into the tray, ensuring it absorbs the oil and prevents spillage.
    • Place the essential oil tray with the pad on top of the water tank, aligning its opening with the vapour discharge channel.
    • If not using essential oil, remove the tray and store it in a cool place.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the product's longevity and to prevent health hazards. Always unplug the product and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

  • General Cleaning Advice:

    • It should be replaced after 160 hours of operation to maintain effectiveness. Only use original silver ion ball filters.
    • Remove the water tank from the control unit.
    • Remove the old silver ion ball filter from its slot in the control unit and replace it with a new one.
    • Place the water tank back onto the control unit with the vapour absorption unit facing downwards.
  • Storage:

    • Empty and clean the water tank, remove water from the control unit, and wipe all parts dry.
