ZF
The gearbox dipstick and filler is
situated on the left of the vehicle near
the turbocharger.
Cold Run
Gearbox in neutral, run the engine for 3
to 5 minutes at idle speed. The oil level
must register in the cold zone. If it is
lower add oil immediately and adjust
the final oil level after checking again at
operating temperature.
Hot Run
Gearbox in neutral, with the engine
idling and the gearbox at operating
temperature (80° - 90°), the level must
register in the Hot zone band. This
check can be carried out immediately
after use of the vehicle.
Voith
The gearbox dipstick and filler are
situated in the rear engine
compartment to the left of the centre
engine mounting.
To check the gearbox oil level the
vehicle must be on level ground with
the parking brake applied and at
operating temperature. With the
engine idling and neutral ‘N’ gear
selected, remove the dipstick and
clean.
Insert the dipstick briefly to prevent a
false reading from oil splash. The level
must be maintained between the”’max”
and “min” level.
