Installing XONE:K2 Operating Firmware
! IMPORTANT !
! IMPORTANT Xone:K2 cannot fully connect with M1 Macs and some PCs running
AMD Ryzen* CPUs, until the controller’s Operating Firmware is updated to V2.5.0
Use an Intel-based Mac or PC to install the V2.5.0 updater
Device Drivers do not need to be installed on computers used to run V2.5.0 updater apps
Go to www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/xonek2
Click the SOFTWARE tab and expand the OPERATING FIRMWARE menu.
Download the ‘current’ Operating Firmware bundle:
XK2_OFW250.zip
Extract the .zip folder corresponding with your host computer to the system desktop;
To update from a Mac, use the XK_OFW250_MAC.zip.
To update from a Windows
®
PC, use the XK2_OFW250_PC.zip.

! Use an Intel-based Mac to run the V2.5.0 Installer .app
Connect the XONE:K2 directly to the Mac via USB
Ensure the controller powers ON
Device Drivers do not need to be installed.
Open the XK_OFW250_MAC.zip archive
Double-click on the XK2 Update V250.app to run
the Installer
Follow the prompts displayed by the app and outlined on page 3 overleaf ...

Connect the XONE:K2 directly to the PC via USB

Extract the contents of XK2_OFW250_PC.zip
to a new folder on the desktop
Double-click on K2 Programmer.exe to run the
Installer
