Unsolder the old component BR2 and carefully remove from the PCB.
As the lead spacing is wider
on the up-rated part the legs
need to be formed as
illustrated:
And as the lead diameter is
bigger the PCB mounting
holes will require re-drilling to
1.2mm. Take care not to
damage the copper tracks.
Note the orientation of the
new rectifier.
Reassemble the power supply in the reverse order, once again taking care
not to disturb the output regulator seating to the heatsinks. Reconnect the
mains supply and check all output voltages are present.
