Notes on power failure
In case of power failure during operation, autoclave works as follows.
(Refer to 3. Part names Operation panel about LAMP, KEY, and DISPLAY)
1. Power is cut and stop working.
2. When power is supplied again, PROCESS INDICATION BAR lights up to show the status
when power failure happened. Also, TEMPERATURE DISPLAY shows current chamber
temperature. In case of sterilization, TIMER DISPLAY shows remaining time of
sterilization, too.
3. Cool down the inside of the chamber enough.
(Press EXHAUST KEY to shorten cooling time if needed.
4. When TEMPERATURE DISPLAY indicates 80℃, COMPLETE LAMP blinks.
5. Press STOP KEY to return to ready condition, and COMPLETE LAMP lights off.
6. After checking if pressure gauge indicates 0MPa, slide the lid lock lever slowly to open
position (right end) with pressing front part of the lid cover. Then, open lid slowly.
7. If sterilization is incomplete, set the condition of operation again then sterilize objects.
(Refer to 5. Operation method)
Do not open lid until pressure gauge indicates 0MPa and TEMPERATURE DISPLAY indicates below
80℃ when operation interrupted.
Steam spouts out of chamber by residual pressure which may cause burn injury.
Do not open drain valve under following conditions.
- chamber temperature is high
- chamber pressure is not 0MPa
It may cause burn injury by blow-out of boiling water and / or steam, water lack, and/or malfunction.
Be sure to set automatic exhaust OFF when sterilizing liquid object or glass container.
(Do not press EXHAUST KEY.)
Quick reduction of chamber pressure may cause breakage of glass container or blow-out of hot liquid.
When sterilizing liquid, it takes longer to cool. Be sure to check the temperature go down
sufficiently then unload the liquid container from chamber slowly, or you may get burned by
bumping of liquid.
Liquid objects keep high temperature after sterilization complete since temperature of liquid cool down slower than
temperature in chamber.
Use a heat-resistance glove when operator unloads objects after operation complete.
If operator touches chamber and/or objects without heat-resistance glove, operator may get burned.
Manual exhaust under 121℃ is desirable.
Exhausted steam from the chamber is not cool enough which may cause burn injury.
And water in exhaust cooling tank reduces faster therefore frequent water supply is required.
