Freezer (-18°C)
- Meat should be cut and wrapped tightly and then freely placed in the freezer.
- After buying frozen foods, put them in the freezer when they are still frozen.
- Do not put fresh food and frozen food together in the freezer.
- Do not put fruits and vegetables in the freezer to avoid freeze-drying.
- Do not put a glass container or other container with liquid inside in the freezer. Otherwise
the container may explode.
Defrosting
After the fridge has been working for some time, frost may be seen on the surfaces inside
which reduces refrigerating effect and increases power consumption. In that case, you must
defrost it.
- Unplug the fridge, open its door and take the food from the fridge to a cool place.
- Use an ice scraper to remove ice and frost.
- You can also just leave the door open and then the ice and frost will melt when the
temperature increases.
- Use a dishtowel to wipe the melt water. After that, put the food back to the fridge and
plug in.
Note: Do not use sharp metal tools to defrost since this will damage the fridge.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE! Pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning!
Cleaning
- Use a soft cloth dampened with warm water to wipe the inner and external surfaces of
the fridge.
- Use neutral detergent to clean heavy stains and dry with a clean soft cloth.
- For long vacations or absences, remove food and unplug the fridge. Clean the fridge and
leave the door open a little. Then place the fridge to a ventilated place.
- Do not use detergents that contain corrosive and deliquescent ingredients (e.g. scouring
powder, bleach, soap powder, alkaline cleanser, benzene, gasoline, acid, hot water etc.)
to clean the operation panels, door gaskets and plastic parts.
NOTE: Do not sprinkle water on the fridge when cleaning because that could
reduce the insulating property of electrical components and erode the metal
parts.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Following situations are normal:
- The flow of refrigerant through the evaporator may create a boiling or gurgling sound.
- In the rainy or very humid weather moisture may form on the outside of the fridge or on
the door gaskets. You can wipe damp surfaces with a dry cloth.
- The temperature on the back panel may be high (particularly in summer) due to the heat
emission of the condenser.
- The temperature on the external surfaces of the compressor may be high when the com-
pressor is working.
