Prior
to

installation

properly
adjusting
the
Input
selector,
Gain
control,
Output
Level
control,
Phase
switch
and
Stereo/Mono
switch
on
the
rear
side
of
the
unit.
Refer
to
“CONNECTIONS”
and
“OPERATIONS”.
Your
new
Alpine
3318
Graphic
Equalizer
comes
with
a
complete
installation
kit
consisting
of
mounting
bracket,
bolts,
screws,
and
a
trim
plate.
Make
sure
you
have
all
the
necessary
parts
and
tools,
then
begin
installation
according
to
the
following
proced-
ures.

Installation

1.
Hold
the
bracket
under
the
dashboard
and
mark
the
screw
holes.
Make
sure
there
is
no
interference
where
drilling
is
to
be
made.
2.
Drill
the
holes
and
secure
the
bracket
under
the
dashboard
with
tapping
screws
(M5
x
20).
3.
Slip
the
unit
into
the
bracket
and
secure
the
sides
with
hex.
bolts
(M4
x
8).
In
Dash
or
Center
Console
Installation
(Fig.
2)
1.
If
no
space
is
provided
in
the
dashboard
or
center
console,
cut
out
an
opening
of
a
size
that
will
snugly
fit
the
nose
piece
dimensions.
Refer
to
“SPECIFICATIONS”
for
exact
nose
piece
dimensions.
2.
Mount
the
unit
in
the
opening
using
the
mounting
bracket
as
shown.
3.
Attach
two
strips
of
double-sided
adhesive
tape
inside
the
trim
plate,
one
each
to
the
left
and
right
sides.
Place
the
trim
plate
over
the
nose
piece
and
press
onto
the
dashboard
panel.
Note:
Before
drilling
any
holes,
make
sure
that
there
are
no
obstacles
behind
the
dashboard.
