OPERATION>
Adjusting
the
Input
Level
Before
using
the
3342,
adjust
the
input
level
on
the
head
unit
to
optimum
level.
NOTE:
If
the
following
steps
are
not
performed,
reaching
maximum
performance
and
signal-to-noise
ratio
is
limited.
1.
To
display
the
Input
Level
on
the
head
unit,
press
the
DISP
button
©
eight
times,
and
select
the
"DISP
8".

2.
To
adjust
the
Input
Level,
first
operate
the
head
unit
with
a
music
source,
and
adjust
the
volume
control
of
the
head
unit
to
optimum
level.
"OVER"
range
Indicator
The
"OVER"
(overrange)
indicator
with
flash
in
the
display
whenever
the
input
level
is
excessive.
To
minimize
distortion
and
for
the
best
possible
sound,
the
input
level
should
be
adjusted
so
that
the
"OVER"
indicator
no
longer
flashes.
This
is
done
by
reducing
the
volume
level
of
the
head
unit.
NOTE:
lf
the
display
"OVER"
should
come
on
when
using
a
different
source,
repeat
the
above
procedure
for
the
new
source.
In
case
that
the
level
may
not
become
proper
for
some
sources,
adjust
the
volume
on
the
head
unit
for
maximum.
Equalizer/Surround
Switching
Press
the
EQ/SUR
button
®.
With
each
press,
the
mode
changes
from
equalizer
to
surround
or
vice
versa.
The
corresponding
indicator
will
be
displayed
(EQ
“4
or
SUR
@).

Subwoofer
Output
Switching
To
switch
the
Subwoofer
Output
ON/OFF,
press
and
hold
the
MODE
button
@)
for
more
than
2
seconds.
With
each
press,
the
mode
switches
from
ON
to
OFF
or
vice
versa.
When
the
Subwoofer
Output
switch
switches
to
ON,
the
"SUB"
indicator
@
will
light
up.
