The
7289M
FM/MW/LW
Cassette
Player
incorporates
the
latest
technology
and
design.
It
features
Alpine's
proprietary
T-10
Il
Tuner
section
with
digital
phase-locked
loop
frequency
synthesizer
and
a
full-logic,
auto-reverse
cassette
player.
The
7289M
was
designed
for
in-dash
installation
in
vehicles
with
12-volt
negative
ground
electrical
systems.
Its
DIN
size
chassis
houses
an
array
of
features
such
as an
illuminated
computer-like
control
keyboard
and
selectable
fader.
It
also
includes
Alpine's
exclusive
Quick
Release
Bracket
(QRB)
with
a
reinforced
connector
that
allows
easy
removal
of
the
radio
as
an
anti-theft
measure.

BRACKET
(Q.R.B.):
Alpine's
exclusive
QRB
design
allows
for
easy
removal
of
the
7289M,
while
still
maintaining
memory
backup.
The
7289M
may
then
be
hidden
elsewhere
in
the
car
or
carried
with
the
owner
for
theft
prevention.
This
ORB
also
provides
for
easy
reinstallation
of
the
unit.
HLTAC™
TAPE
HEAD:
The
HLTAC
tape
head
provides
an
extended
flat
frequency
response.
DOLBY®
TYPE-B
AND
C
NOISE
REDUCTION:
This
system
lowers
background
noise
by
10
dB
in
Dolby*
B
or
by
20
dB
in
Dolby
C
compared
with
playing
the
tape
with
no
noise
reduction.

TRAFFIC
INFORMATION
RECEPTION
(SDK):

ONE
TOUCH
MUSIC
SENSOR:
This
feature
allows
you
to
automatically
fast
forward
through
the
music
selection
currently
playing,
to
the
beginning
of
the
next
selection
and
then
begins
playback.
The
deck
will
also
automatically
rewind
back
to
the
beginning
of
the
current
music
selection
and
begin
playback.
@
IGNITION
“KEY
OFF”
PAUSE:
The
tape
head
and
pinch
roller
disengage
from
the
tape
when
the
ignition
is
turned
off,
but
the
cassette
remains
inside
the
deck.
@
AUTO
METAL:
When
a
metal
cassette
tape
is
inserted,
the
tape
mechanism
automatically
adjusts
to
metal
tape
equalization.
