TAPE PAUSE:
This is used to temporarily stop tape play. The tape head and pinch roller disengage
from the tape, but the cassette remains inside the deck.
SEEK/TUNE/AUTO MEMORY SELECT SWITCH:
This switch is for selecting between the SEEK, Manual TUNE, and Auto MEMOry
modes.
PRESET ADDRESS:
The indicator on any of the LiteTouch™ preset switches will light when you press
them. This lets you know which preset station is selected (in the Tuner mode).
SELECTABLE FADER:
This system allows you to select either the pre-amp or power amp fader mode. The
pre-amp fader controls the signal level in the pre-amp stage for two amplifiers, and the
power amp fader balances the front and rear speaker sound in a four-speaker system
using the unit's internal power.
TRUE FAST FORWARD AND REWIND
When the tape is playing (in either direction), press the FF switch to quickly advance
the tape: press the REW to quickly rewind the tape.
REPEAT:
Engaging this feature in the tape mode, at end of the current music selection the tape
will rewind back to the beginning of the selection and play it again.
TAPE SCAN:
In this mode the deck quickly scans through the tape and plays the first ten seconds of
each music selection. When you locate the selection of your choice, press the switch
again to defeat the tape scan.
AUTO MEMORY:
When you engage AUTO MEMORY the tuner will automatically determine the 6
strongest FM, MW, or LW stations and load them into the preset memory. This
feature is convenient when you are in an unfamiliar reception area.
D.A.P. (DIRECT ACCESS PRESET):
D.A.P. allows the storage of MW, LW and FM presets on the same band, eliminating
the need to press the TUNER BAND switch. Up to 6 MW, LW and FM stations can be
mixed in the D.A.P. Band.
