In Case of Difficulty
If you encounter a problem, please review the items
in the following check list. This guide will help you
isolate the problem if the unit is at fault. Otherwise,
make sure the rest of your system is properly
connected or consult your authorized Alpine dealer.
Initial Turn-on After
Installation
Symptom/Symptôme/Síntoma
No Sound./Pas de son./No hay sonido.
No function./Pas de fonction./No funciona.
No Play./Pas de reproduction./No hay reproducción.
Music skips excessively./La musique saute
excessivement./La música salta en exceso.
Cause and Solution
• Volume level too low.
– Turn Volume Control clockwise to desired
level.
• Incorrect connections.
– Check connection and remedy.
• Volume/Balance/Fader controls are not set to
the proper positions.
– Check each control.
• Out of operating temperature range 50°C
(120°F) for CD.
– Allow the temperature of the car's interior (or
trunk) to cool.
• Moisture condensation in the CD Module.
– Allow the enough time for the condensation
to evaporate (about 1 hour).
• No connection of Battery lead.
– Make sure Battery lead is connected
properly.
• No connection of ACC Power lead and Ground
lead.
– Make sure ACC Power lead and Ground lead
are connected properly.
• Internal micro-computer malfunctioned due to
interference noise etc.
– Press the Reset button with a ball-point pen
or other pointed article.
Push Reset Switch
Even if you have checked all the items above and still
improper function is found, please push the Reset
switch. (Refer to page 10)
• The unit is set to the Pause mode.
– Press the disc play button.
• The CD Shuttle has not been mounted securely.
– Follow the installation instructions for proper
installation.
