Function Description:

The Alpine Solar Bluetooth-Enabled Rock Speaker is a portable, wireless audio device designed for outdoor use. It functions as a speaker that can connect to Bluetooth-enabled devices to play music wirelessly. A key feature is its solar charging capability, allowing it to recharge its internal battery using sunlight, making it suitable for outdoor placement without constant access to power outlets. It also offers a Micro USB charging option for faster charging or when solar power is not sufficient. The speaker is designed to be weather-resistant, ensuring durability in outdoor conditions.

Usage Features:

Powering On/Off: The speaker is turned on or off by pushing a power button located on the back of the unit.
Bluetooth Pairing:
- To initiate pairing, turn the speaker ON. A tone will be heard, and the Bluetooth indicator light will flash BLUE/GREEN.
- Keep the speaker and the Bluetooth-enabled device within three feet during pairing.
- Set your Bluetooth-enabled device to search for Bluetooth devices.
- Select "Alpine Corporation" from the list of discovered devices.
- Upon successful pairing, a tone will be heard, and the Bluetooth indicator light will turn GREEN.
- If no paired devices are in range, the speaker automatically enters pairing mode. If a paired device is in range, it will connect automatically.
- Unpairing: To pair with a new device, the speaker must first be unpaired from the currently connected device through the device's Bluetooth settings. After unpairing, it automatically re-enters pairing mode.
- Note: Multiple Rock Speakers cannot be paired to the same device simultaneously; only one speaker per device can be used.
Playing Music: Once connected via Bluetooth, users can open their media player on the connected device, press PLAY, and control music playback and volume from that device.
Charging:
- USB Charging: Plug the small end of the Micro USB Charging Cable into the speaker's Micro USB port and the larger end into a computer or other USB charging device. Recommended charge time is 2-3 hours. The LED indicator is RED during charging and GREEN when fully charged.
- Solar Charging: Place the speaker under direct sunlight or in a brightly lit room. The recommended charge time using the solar panel is 8 hours, especially for the first-time use, to ensure the battery is fully charged. Charge times may vary based on solar conditions.

Maintenance Features:

Warranty Information: Alpine offers a limited one-year warranty from the date of purchase. A valid proof of purchase with the date clearly indicated is required for warranty claims, along with photos of defective merchandise.
Warranty Coverage:
- Covers repair or replacement of defective components at Alpine's discretion.
- The warranty covers severe or complete fading of paint within the first year, with the exception of natural erosion caused by water.
- Replacement parts can be obtained through the original seller or an approved parts retailer. If not available, contact Alpine Corporation's customer service.
- For replacement parts requested after 30 days of purchase due to a warranty claim, credit card information will be requested for shipping charges.
Exclusions from Warranty:
- Damages caused in transit.
- Inadequate care and/or neglect.
- Environmental and/or natural elements.
- Immersion in water, unless specified.
- Improper installation/storage and/or maintenance.
- Damage from freezing water (improper storage).
- Damage from "hard water" and/or caustic cleaners. Failure to keep the unit clean and use appropriate additives/cleaners will void the warranty.
- Accident, misuse, negligence, improper installation, and/or modifications.
- Defects arising from freezing water damage, hard water damage, failure to keep the unit clean, and use of harmful additives like bleach or chlorine.
- Additional charges for installation, removal, disposal, shipping costs, or consequential damage related to a warranty claim.
Procedure for Warranty/Service: Contact the retailer where the product was purchased. If that is not an option, contact Alpine Corporation at www.alpine4u.com. Be prepared to provide proof of purchase, photographs, and other information to validate the claim.
Paint and Color Maintenance: Natural erosion of color due to water use is normal and can be touched up with standard paint. The paint is designed to protect the finish from color breakdown, but all finishes will gradually fade and discolor over time.
Water Damage Prevention: Alpine products are not designed to withstand extreme temperatures. Improper storage that allows water to freeze within the product is considered negligence and voids the warranty. For fountains, some splashing is normal, and protecting immediate surfaces is not the responsibility of Alpine Corporation.
