Alpinestars’ helmets are constructed, tested and approved as meeting either the
European ECE Standard or the applicable U.S. Department of Transportation’s DOT
standard.
The ECE Standard applies to the European Union, whereas the DOT standard applies
solely to the USA.
To see if the helmet is ECE or DOT compliant please check the external sticker located
on the back of the helmet. Alpinestars’ helmet must only be used in the applicable
countries where either the ECE Standard or DOT standard is valid.
If you use the helmet in a country which does not follow the ECE Standard or DOT
standard and are injured, you may not make a claim in the courts of that country, or the
courts of any other country that does not follow the ECE or DOT Standards.
This helmet is not sold or intended for use in Japan as it does not conform to Japanese
regulations or requirements.
