3.6 Sharing Notes and Highlights with Your Social Network
You can link your Kindle to your social network accounts so that you can share your
notes and highlights with others in your social network. Sharing your notes and
highlights is a great way to tell others about the books and periodicals youâre reading.
While the examples in this section refer to Twitter, this feature works similarly for
other social networks.
LINKING YOUR KINDLE TO YOUR TWITTER ACCOUNT
If you are not yet a member of Twitter, visit their web site and create an account with
them before you link your Kindle to them.
To link your Kindle to your Twitter account, follow these steps:
1. If you are not already on the Home screen, press the Home button.
2. Press the Menu button.
3. Move the 5-way down until âSettingsâ is underlined and press to select it.
4. Move the 5-way down to underline âmanageâ next to the âSocial Networksâ
setting and press to select. The âManage Your Social Networksâ screen appears.
5. To link your Kindle to your Twitter account, select âLink Accountâ under Twitter.
6. Move the 5-way down to highlight âUsername or Emailâ and type your Twitter
user name or e-mail address. To enter a capital letter, press and hold the Shift key
down while pressing the letter.
7. Move the 5-way down to highlight âPasswordâ and type your password. To enter
a capital letter, press and hold the Shift key down while pressing the letter.
8. Move the 5-way down to highlight âSign inâ and press to select it.
9. If this is the ďŹrst time you are linking a Kindle to your Twitter account,
select âAllowâ to conďŹrm that you want to allow your Kindle to access your
Twitter account.
10. You will return to the âManage Your Social Networksâ screen, where your Twitter
user name is now displayed. Your Kindle is now linked to your Twitter account.
Your Kindle remains linked to your Twitter account until you unlink it.
