Policy Elements for Amazon Redshift
The Element Descriptions section of the AWS Identity and Access Management Using IAM guide describes
elements you can use in a policy. For policies that you create for Amazon Redshift, note the following
about specific policy elements:
• Resource – Amazon Redshift does not differentiate among resources for purposes of IAM permissions.
Therefore you must specify a "*" as the value of the Resource element in a policy.
Action – Amazon Redshift supports policies to provide access to individual Amazon Redshift API
actions.The Action element identifies one or more Amazon Redshift actions that are allowed or denied.
