GENERAL OVERVIEW
The following is a series of recommended preventative maintenance procedures that should be
performed on your cooling tower to help provide the maximum service life of your unit and ensure it
provides years of reliable performance.

Check FRP casing and
basin for cracks or
damage
Remove & clean
basin strainer
Check water level in
basin; adjust float
valve assembly as
needed.
Check water
distribution system
for debris, blockages

distribution system
for rotation speed;
adjust if needed.
Check & clean fan
screens, inlet
louvers.
Visually inspect
motor for damage or
changes in noise
Check fan assembly
for cracks, scale
buildup. Clean if
necessary.
Check belt tension
on reducer (ST-225
to ST-1500)
