What to do if there is excess amp draw on the motor of my Amcot ST?
    • O
      Oscar LunaAug 10, 2025
If there is excess amp draw on the motor of your Amcot Industrial Equipment, check the fan pitch and adjust it so the amp draw is at or slightly below the nameplate amperage. Air restrictions, such as a fill blockage, can cause increased fan loading and amp draw, so replace the fill. Line voltage fluctuations can also be a factor, so call an electrician to test/monitor the line voltage. Finally, a failing motor bearing can cause this issue, so replace the motor if necessary.

How to prevent excess drift loss in Amcot ST Industrial Equipment?
    • F
      farrellcindyAug 16, 2025
To prevent excess drift loss in your Amcot Industrial Equipment, check the sprinkler head and arms for proper water flow and rotation speed, as a water distribution malfunction could be the cause. Also, inspect the fill media for blockage and clean or replace it if necessary. Too much circulating water can lead to excess drift, so check the water flow to the tower and adjust with external valves. Lastly, too much airflow through the unit can contribute, so check the fan pitch and lower the blade angle to reduce airflow.

How to troubleshoot noise and/or vibration in Amcot ST Industrial Equipment?
    • S
      Sara DanielsAug 22, 2025
To troubleshoot noise and/or vibration in your Amcot Industrial Equipment, first check if the fan blade tips are in contact with the casing panel and adjust the fan mounting if needed. Improper mounting of fan blades can also cause this, so adjust the pitch angle of the fan blades per the manual instructions. Loose bolts can contribute to noise and vibration, so check the bolts/fasteners on all panels and the mechanical assembly. V-belt reducer noise can be addressed by checking the belt tension and greasing the bearings. Motor noise might indicate motor bearing failure, requiring replacement. Finally, inspect the mechanical assembly components for cracks or rust/corrosion and contact Amcot ASAP if any are found.

What to do if there are issues with the water distribution system in my Amcot ST Industrial Equipment?
    • M
      Matthew DiazAug 28, 2025
If you're experiencing issues with the water distribution system in your Amcot Industrial Equipment, start by checking if the sprinkler head seal has failed, resulting in water coming out at the base of the sprinkler head; if so, clean or replace the sprinkler head. If the spray arms are not rotating within the proper range for the unit, clean the sprinkler arms and adjust the sprinkler arm holes to achieve proper rotation. Also, make sure valves are set properly. Perform maintenance on the pump. Finally, perform maintenance/cleaning of basket strainers or filters.

Why is the cold water temperature rising in my Amcot Industrial Equipment?
    • T
      Tommy LewisNov 3, 2025
A rise in cold water temperature in your Amcot Industrial Equipment can occur due to several reasons. It could be due to excessive or a lack of water flow, so check the piping valves and ensure the design water flow rate is maintained. Irregular airflow, recirculation of air exhaust, irregular operation of the water distribution assembly, improper airflow, or fill blockage can also be the cause. Ensure that the equipment air intake isn't blocked and improve ventilation. If the top of the tower is below an adjacent wall or enclosure, warm air might be recirculating, so consider elevating the tower. Clean the sprinkler arms, check the hole position, and ensure no water is coming out of the base of the sprinkler head. Check the amp draw and adjust the fan pitch according to the manual. Finall...
