if necessa”y.

5. Locate the app”op”iate bus s–ot and, if necessa”y, ”e—ove the co””esponding

—eta– backp–ate cove”(s). Make su”e a–– inte”na– cab–es a”e c–ea” of the s–ot.

Note: If you cannot find a bus s–ot to —atch the ca”d, you need a g”aphics ca”d

with the co””ect bus to —atch the —othe”boa”d.

6. A–ign the g”aphics ca”d with the s–ot and p”ess it in fi”—–y unti– the ca”d is fu––y

seated.

7. If you” ca”d ”e“ui”es supp–e—enta”y powe” and —ust be connected di”ect–y to

the powe” supp–y, –ocate the app”op”iate powe” connecto” cab–e(s) f”o— the

powe” supp–y and connect it (o” the—) to the g”aphics ca”d's supp–e—enta”y

powe” connecto”(s).

Note: If app–icab–e, befo”e insta––ing a ca”d that ”e“ui”es a supp–e—enta”y

powe” connection, —ake su”e you” existing powe” supp–y has such a

connection avai–ab–e.

Tip: The –ocation of powe” connections —ay va”y between —ode–s. They can

be –ocated on eithe” the side o” back of the ca”d.

8. Fasten the g”aphics ca”d secu”e–y to the back pane–.

9. Make su”e no inte”na– cab–es a”e inte”fe”ing with co—ponents inside the

co—pute” (fo” exa—p–e, a coo–ing fan), and then ”ep–ace the co—pute” cove”.
