7. Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
CAUSES
SOLUTION
Insufficient cooling
power
Direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Control unit is performing a defrost cycle.
The door is not completely closed or has
been opened too long.
The door seal is damaged or deformed.
The evaporator is covered in ice.
Dirty condenser filter.
Move the appliance away from the heat
sources.
Wait for the control unit to complete the
defrost cycle (max. 20 minutes).
Close the door completely, keep the door
open for shorter periods of time.
Contact the dealer.
Check that the door and the gasket seal
well and that no hot food has been put in-
side the appliance. Contact the dealer.
Clean the condenser filter (see section 6 -
Cleaning and servicing).
Not cooling
The electric plug is not inserted in the
socket.
The compressor does not turn on.
Power failure
Insert the electric plug in the socket.
Contact the dealer.
Check the power supply.
Very noisy
The appliance is not positioned on a flat
surface or the legs are not properly ad-
justed.
There is a vibration caused by loose screws
or bolts.
Place the appliance on a flat surface and
adjust the legs so that the appliance rests
solidly on the ground.
Check that the screws and bolts have not
become loose during operation or
transport.
The compressor
does not shut off
automatically
Too many products inside the appliance.
The door is not closed or has been opened
too long.
Remove excess products.
Only open the door as long as necessary
and check that it is properly closed.
The above cases are presented merely as examples of possible problems. In the event of any prob-
lem, immediately switch the appliance OFF and contact the dealer.
The following characteristics are normal and do not represent malfunctions:
At regular intervals the temperature indicated on the digital control unit display increases by
4-5 degrees with respect to the set-point and then decreases: this is part of the normal cooling
cycle of any refrigerating appliance. See the detailed explanation in paragraph 5.4;
The sound of flowing water. This sound occurs during normal use. It is the sound of the coolant
expanding inside the cooling circuit;
When there is high humidity, condensate on the internal part of the door is normal. Remove
the condensate by wiping it off with a soft cloth.
Requesting spare parts:
To request spare parts, contact the dealer and refer to the part number, as indicated
in the spare parts drawings at the end of this handbook. At the same time, provide the
model and serial number of the appliance, as indicated on the technical specs. label
(ref. Pic.1 and Pic.2 - Section 8).
