Description:
The EV3000 Battery Detector monitors the Supply
Batteries for disconnection or removal. The relay
contacts allow for a FAULT condition to be generated at
the EV3000 panel.
The EV3000 Battery Detector installation kit consists of;
1 x 154-0258 Battery Detector Unit
1 x 5 Way Panduit (approx 500mm to 1m)
1 x 1 metres Blue Hookup Wire
Installation:
Observe anti-static precautions at all times
1. Power down the FACP, disconnect the batteries
2. Mount the battery detector in an appropriate place
to allow for connection to batteries
3. Remove the Enclosure Lid to allow access to the
EV3000 Battery Detector PCB
4. Connect 27VDC power to CN1 using a 5 way
Panduit or 27VDC to TB1/1 (+27VDC) and TB1/5
(0V).
EV3000 6 Amp Power Supply fault connection.
1. Wire the Common (TB1/2) of the EV3000 Battery
Detector to the Input of the Battery Isolator / Trip
Switch (See Figure 1)
2. Wire The N/O (TB1/3) of the EV3000 Battery
Detector to the 6 Amp Power Supply Circuit
Breaker terminal, (CB TB2/8). (See Figure 1)
EV3000 16 Amp Power Supply fault connection.
1. Remove the Wire from the Battery Monitoring Fuse
(250mA) and wire to the N/C (TB1/4) of the
EV3000 Battery Detector. (See Figure 2)
2. Connect the supplied hookup wire from the Battery
Monitoring Fuse (250mA) to the common (TB1/2)
of the EV3000 Battery Detector. (See Figure 2)
Final Operation
1. Power up the FACP, connect the batteries and test
by disconnecting the Battery and ensuring a Fault
is generated.
