These desks are equipped with electrical components for height adjustment and include safety features and troubleshooting guides to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

Function Description

The primary function of the Activ-Pro and Activ-Pro3 desks is to provide a height-adjustable worksurface, allowing users to switch between sitting and standing positions throughout the day. This adjustability is controlled via a handset with a digital display and memory preset buttons. The desks are designed to support various office equipment and accessories, promoting a flexible and ergonomic work environment. They also incorporate cable management solutions to keep the workspace tidy and free from obstructions.

• Power Cord: Use only type SJT 18 AWG cord.
• Grounding: Must be connected to a properly grounded outlet. For North America and other 120V regions, the product is for use on a nominal 120-V circuit and uses a grounded plug. No adapter should be used.
• Minimum Height (Activ-Pro3): 24.5 inches (lowest level).
• Worksurface Depth: Not to exceed 30 inches (762mm).
• Worksurface Width: Maximum 72 inches (1828.8mm).
• Worksurface Overhang: Distance from side of support cantilever to edge of worksurface must be greater than 0.75 inches (19mm) and may exceed 1.25 inches (32mm).
• Clearance: Maintain a minimum of 0.984 inches (25.0mm) from any edge for other worksurface construction. Maintain >1 inch (25mm) gap above objects on desk at max height and between the desk & adjacent objects.
• Flammability: Any worksurface or similar large part >10ft² must have a flame spread < 200 and a smoke developed index < 450 when tested per UL 723.
• Sharp Edges: All accessible edges of the worksurface must meet R39 for sharp edges.
• FCC Compliance: The devices comply with part 15 of the FCC rules, ensuring they do not cause harmful interference and accept interference received. Activ-Pro is for household and commercial use, while Activ-Pro3 is for commercial use only.

Usage Features

• Height Adjustment: Controlled by up/down arrow buttons on the handset.
• Memory Presets: Users can program up to three desired heights (1, 2, or 3) using the "M" button. The desk will automatically adjust to the preset height when the corresponding number button is pressed and held (for newer versions) or simply pressed (for older "press and go" versions).
• Power Saving Mode: The handset can be woken up by pressing any button.
• Resetting the Base (Recalibration):
  • For Activ-Pro/Pro3: Press and hold the Down arrow until the desk reaches its lowest height, then continue holding for 5 seconds until "RST" appears. Release, then press Down again to start recalibration. The display will show "24.5" when complete.
  • Hard Reset for E07/E08 (if base is halfway or full standing position): Press and hold the Down button until "ASR" appears, release, then press and hold Down again until the base hits bottom, bumps up, and shows height numbers.
• Handset Lock/Unlock: Press and hold the "M" button for about 5 seconds. "LOC" indicates locked, and the height number indicates unlocked.
• One-Touch or Constant-Touch for Memory Presets: Users can choose between "10.1 = One-Touch" (press and release) or "10.2 = Constant-Touch" (hold until desired height) by following a specific reset procedure involving the Down and "1" buttons.
• Setting LED Retracted Height: If the LED display doesn't match the actual lowest height, users can adjust it by pressing and holding Down until "ASR" appears, then holding "M" until the height flashes, and using Up/Down buttons to match the measurement.
• Setting Custom Maximum Height: Move the base to the desired max height using the Up button, then press "M" and release, then press Up and release, then press and hold "M" until "999" appears.
• Setting Custom Minimum Height: Move the base to the desired min height using the Down button, then press "M" and release, then press Down and release, then press and hold "M" until "000" appears.
• Removing Custom Height Positions: Press and hold "M" until "S -" flashes, release, then press and hold "M" again for 2 seconds until "555" appears, then returns to height display.
• Changing LED Display Units: Switch between inches and centimeters by pressing and holding Down until "ASR" appears, then pressing and holding "2" for about 5 seconds until "10.3 = cm" or "10.4 = inches" appears.

Maintenance Features

• Regular Inspection: Inspect regularly for damage or loose parts. Stop using if damaged. Only repair with AMQ authorized parts and methods.
• Cleaning: Regularly clean dust and dirt from lifting columns. Extend lifting columns to their maximum height for thorough cleaning. Use a damp cloth and a pH-neutral cleanser; avoid highly alkaline or acidic cleansers.
• Cable Management: The product offers cable risers, cable brackets, or cable baskets to manage excess cables/wires, ensuring they are free from obstruction during height adjustments.
• Workstation Design Tips:
  • Ensure power cords for all accessories (computer, lights, monitors) are long enough for the full range of height adjustment.
  • Always check for proper operating clearance before placing any item on, above, or below the worksurface.
• Safety Precautions:
  • Always unplug from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
  • Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the table is not working properly.
  • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not drop or insert objects into openings.
  • Do not use outdoors or where aerosol products or oxygen are being administered.
  • Place heavier items at the bottom to prevent tipping.
  • Do not sit/stand on the product.
  • Ensure children are supervised and cannot adjust the desk unsupervised. Lock the handset or remove/secure the power cord when not in use.
  • Always lock castors during use.
  • Before moving on castors: adjust desk to lowest height, verify path is clear, remove unattached objects, and restrict monitor arms from moving outside the desk perimeter.
  • Do not move the desk without help; refer to assembly instructions or contact facilities group.
