Control Panel Operation
All Precis LT systems have an integral front mounted control panel for controlling the system’s switches
and system attributes. The control panel can also be used for system verification and redundant control.
FIG. 25 illustrates a Precis LT 8x8 control panel. Other models may vary slightly in appearance.
Note: AMX AutoPatch software can also be used to control a system; for more information,
see the “AMX AutoPatch CD.” In addition, AMX AutoPatch enclosures can be controlled using
BCS (Basic Control Structure) commands transmitted through an external controller; for more
information, see the “BCS Protocol Instruction Manual” on the CD or at www.amx.com.
Modes of Operation
A Precis LT control panel works in three standard modes:
 Switch (default) – use to execute switches
 Status – use to verify signal status
 Lock – use to lock and unlock the control panel (password required)
