Locking & Unlocking the Control Panel
Locking the Precis LT control panel prohibits access to the system and can prevent accidental switching.
While the panel is locked, BCS commands still work; however, they cannot be used to unlock the panel.
The password is a sequence of five key presses using any combination of Input and/or Output Keys.
Note: Although a new password could be used each time, we recommend using the same password
and keeping a written record of it in a in a convenient place.
After you press the Lock Key, you have 10 seconds to enter a password before the panel reverts to its
previous mode (Locked or Switch mode). If you enter the wrong password, press the Lock Key again
and enter the correct password.
If power is turned off while the panel is locked, all password information will be lost. When power is
reapplied, the panel will be unlocked.
For the following example, the password is “1 3 1 2 2” using the Input Keys.
To lock the control panel:
1.
Press the Lock Key.
The Lock Key flashes for 10 seconds. You must enter the password before the Lock Key stops
flashing.
2. Press the Input Keys in this order: 1, 3, 1, 2, 2.
3. Press the Take Key.
The Lock Key stops flashing but remains illuminated.
The control panel is locked.
To unlock the control panel:
1.
Press the Lock Key.
The Lock Key flashes for 10 seconds. You must enter the password before the Lock Key stops
flashing.
2. Press the Input Keys in this order: 1, 3, 1, 2, 2.
3. Press the Take Key.
The Lock Key turns off.
The control panel is unlocked and in Switch mode.
