      Kayla WileyAug 12, 2025
Ensure the distance between your stove top and the bottom of the Ancona Ventilation Hood is between 24 and 30 inches. Also, reduce the number of elbows and the length of duct work. Verify that all joints are properly connected, sealed, and taped.

Why is my Ancona Ventilation Hood fan weak?
    • J
      Justin BellAug 18, 2025
A weak fan in your Ancona Ventilation Hood may be due to a duct that is less than 6 inches in diameter (15.2 cm) or 3 1/4 x 10 inches (25.4 x 8.3 cm). The hood will not function efficiently with an insufficient duct size. Also, check if the duct is clogged or if the damper unit (half-circular flange) is not installed correctly or opening properly. A tight mesh on a side wall cap unit might also cause restriction to the air flow.
