New filters come with 2 protective plugs on each
end. You can take them out by pressing on the
collet ring with one finger and using a pair of
pliers or hand to pull out the protective tubing
(See Figure B).
The Stage 1 Sediment filter is tucked behind the membrane housing. For easy access, use a pair
of scissors to cut the strap tie and pull and lift the 2nd stage filter to the top position.
The Stage 2 Pre-Carbon filter is located between Stage 1 and Stage 4 filters.
Locate it, and follow these steps.
Stage-1 Sediment Filter (CT-1SED)
Stage-2 Carbon Filter (CT-24CAB)
Change every 6 months or 600-800 gal pure water used

Disconnect tubing from Point D & Point E
(See Figure A) by pressing on the collet ring
with one finger and use the other hand to pull
out the tubing. Discard used filter.
Disconnect tubing from Point F & Point G
(See Figure C) by pressing on the collet ring with
one finger and use the other hand to pull out the
tubing. Discard used filter.
Snap on the new filter onto the 2 holding clips.
Make sure the Flow direction “arrow ”
on the filter is pointing toward the right direction
(See Figure A). Re-connect tubing to both ends
of the new filter.
Snap on the new filter onto the 2 holding clips.
Make sure the Flow direction “ arrow”
on the filter is pointing toward the left direction
(See Figure C). Re-connect tubing to both ends
of the new filter.

Disconnect tubing from Points D & E, press collet ring, pull out tubing, and discard used filter.

Install New Stage-1 Filter

Snap new filter onto clips, ensure flow arrow points right, reconnect tubing to both ends.

Stage-2 Carbon Filter Replacement

Disconnect Tubing for Stage-2 Filter

Disconnect tubing from Points F & G, press collet ring, pull out tubing, and discard used filter.

Install New Stage-2 Filter

Snap new filter onto clips, ensure flow arrow points left, reconnect tubing to both ends.

Stage-3 Membrane Replacement

Locate Membrane Housing

Locate the Membrane-Housing, identified by the 'Filmtec Membrane' label.

Remove and Install Membrane

Disconnect tubing, remove housing cap, pull out old membrane, insert new one with black rings first.

Secure Membrane Housing

Close the membrane-housing cap and reconnect the tubing to the cap.

Stage-4 Post-Carbon/pH Filter Replacement

Disconnect Tubing for Stage-4 Filter

Disconnect tubing from Points J & K, use pliers to remove tubing lock (red clip) at Point K.

Install New Stage-4 Filter

Snap new filter onto clips, ensure flow arrow points right, reconnect tubing to both ends.
