CLEANING
HOLDING
TANKS
While
the sewer
hose
is still connected,
close
the slide
valves and run several
gallons of
water into
the tank
through
the
toilet or sinks
depending on
which
tank is to be cleaned.
Open
the valve
and allow
the water
to
run off as
per nor-
mal procedure.
It is advisable
to
periodically
cleanse
toilet
holding
tank
thoroughly. Run
ten to fifteen
gallons
of water
with detergent
into
the
empty
holding tank and drive the
coach several
miles.
The turbulence
and
surging
of
the
solution
within the
holding tank should
cleanse
it thoroughly.
When this
procedure
has been completed,
ll
the remainder
of
the tank
with
water
and
then
empty the tank and
rinse.

CARE
CAUTION:
Lighted
cigarettes,
ames or sparks, must
be kept away
from
battery ller
holes. Explosive hydrogen gas
could be
present.
Remove all caps when checking
the two batteries; the water
level
should be slightly above
the plates. Check
battery water
level
often in hot weather.
At every
service
the
terminals
should be cleaned
and tightened. After tighten-
ing, and
after
the cables
are
connected, apply a
light coat of grease
to the posts
and
terminals.
