Overview

The APOSEN H21-500P is a versatile vacuum cleaner designed for household use, functioning as both an upright and a handheld unit. Its primary function is to effectively remove dust, dirt, and debris from various surfaces, ensuring a clean living environment. The device emphasizes ease of use, maintenance, and safety, as detailed in its instruction manual.

Important Safety Instructions:

Before operating the vacuum cleaner, users must adhere to several critical safety precautions to prevent fire, electric shock, or injury. It is crucial not to leave the vacuum cleaner plugged in when not in use or during servicing. The device is intended for indoor use on dry surfaces only; outdoor or wet surface operation is strictly prohibited to reduce the risk of electric shock. When children are present, close supervision is necessary as the vacuum cleaner is not a toy. Users should only utilize attachments recommended by the manufacturer.

The power cord and plug require careful handling. The vacuum cleaner should not be used if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the unit has been dropped, damaged, or exposed to water. In such cases, it must be taken to a service center. Users should avoid pulling or carrying the vacuum cleaner by its cord, using the cord as a handle, closing doors on the cord, or pulling the cord around sharp edges or corners. The vacuum cleaner should not be run over the cord, and the cord must be kept away from heated surfaces. To unplug the device, users should grasp the plug itself, not the cord, and avoid handling the plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.

To maintain optimal airflow and prevent damage, no objects should be inserted into the vacuum cleaner's openings. All openings must be kept free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that might obstruct airflow. Hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all body parts should be kept away from openings and moving parts during operation. Before unplugging, all controls must be turned off. Extra caution is advised when cleaning on stairs. The vacuum cleaner is not designed to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or to be used in areas where such substances may be present. When rewinding the cord onto the cord reel, the plug should be held to prevent it from whipping. The hose should be connected only after unplugging the unit. The vacuum cleaner should not be used to pick up burning or smoking items like cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes. Finally, it is imperative not to operate the vacuum cleaner without the dust bag and/or filter properly in place. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.

Precautionary Measures:

Beyond the general safety instructions, specific precautionary measures are highlighted. If the suction opening in the unit or the hose becomes blocked, the vacuum cleaner must be immediately switched off. The blocking substance should be removed before restarting the unit. The vacuum cleaner should not be operated too close to heat sources such as heaters, radiators, or lit cigarette butts. Before inserting the power plug into a wall outlet, users must ensure their hands are dry. Prior to vacuuming, it is important to remove any large or sharp objects that could potentially damage the dust cup filter. When disconnecting the power, users should always pull the plug itself, not the power cord. As reiterated, the vacuum cleaner should not be used to pick up burning or smoking items like cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes, and it must never be operated without the dust cup filter in place.

Operating Instructions:

The APOSEN H21-500P can be used as an upright vacuum cleaner. To set it up in this configuration, the floor brush and tube are attached to the main body of the unit. Once assembled, the appliance is switched on by pressing the ON/OFF button.

Cleaning & Changing the Dust Cup Filter:

Maintaining the dust cup filter is crucial for the vacuum cleaner's optimal performance. It is recommended to empty the dust cup container and clean the dust cup filter after each use. To remove the dust cup container, the user presses down on the dust cup container release button, separating it from the main unit. The dust from the container is then emptied. Following this, the dust cup filter is pulled out.

The dust cup filter should be rinsed in cold water and allowed to air dry completely before being reinserted into the dust cup container. A critical note emphasizes that the dust cup filter should NOT be cleaned in a washing machine, nor should a hair dryer be used to dry it; it must AIR DRY ONLY. Once dry, the dust cup filter is carefully replaced into its compartment. It is paramount NEVER to operate the stick vacuum without the dust cup filter in place. Finally, the dust cup container is reattached to the main body of the unit. The manual recommends replacing the dust cup filter every three months, depending on usage, to ensure the unit maintains peak performance. While the dust cup filter is washable, regular replacement is still advised for sustained efficiency.
