Why doesn't my Aprilaire 1160 Humidifier perform the auto-drain sequence?

If your Aprilaire Humidifier does not perform the auto-drain sequence, it could be due to no power to the automatic drain valve, a drain fault, a plugged drain valve or pipe, or a defective automatic drain valve. First, verify the drain valve electrical plug is fully engaged and check for 24 VAC at the internal controller board terminals for the drain valve. Then, inspect the drain valve piping for any blockages. If voltage is present at the valve but it still doesn't open, the valve may need to be replaced.
