What to do if there is a leak or free flow at the 2nd stage of my Aqua Lung Diving Instrument?
    • C
      Cynthia HigginsAug 5, 2025
If you're experiencing a leak or free flow at the 2nd stage of your Aqua Lung Diving Instrument, it could be due to several reasons. The MP might be too high or too low, in which case you should refer to the First Stage Troubleshooting Guide. Alternatively, the valve is worn or damaged, the seat is not correctly adjusted, the lever is bent, the sealing face of the seat is damaged, the spring is damaged, or the valve is not correctly adjusted. Replace the valve, readjust the seat, replace the lever, replace the seat, replace the spring, or readjust the lever and the valve, depending on the cause.

What to do if my Aqua Lung Diving Instrument has a water leak?

      Jonathan RogersAug 13, 2025
If you notice a water leak in your Aqua Lung Diving Instrument, several issues could be the cause. It might be due to a hole in the mouthpiece, a damaged diaphragm, or a damaged exhalation valve. The venturi control O-ring could be dirty, worn, or damaged. The diaphragm might not be correctly fitted between the casing and the washer, the casing could be damaged or the O-ring or insert O-ring could be damaged. Replace the mouthpiece, replace the diaphragm, replace the valve, replace the O-ring. Disassemble the purge button and refit the assembly correctly. Check the sealing face of the exhalation valve and replace the casing. Replace the O-ring.

Why is the purge flow insufficient or work of breathing too high on my Aqua Lung Diving Instrument?
    • K
      Keith ChapmanAug 26, 2025
If you're experiencing insufficient purge flow or the work of breathing feels too high with your Aqua Lung Diving Instrument, it could be due to a couple of reasons: either the MP hose is obstructed, or the lever is bent. Try cleaning or replacing the hose, or replacing the lever.
