To carry out a system recovery,
proceed as follows:
1. Shut down the device (if it is not
turned off) and turn it on.
2. When the screen turns on,
immediately press and hold the Volume
+ button until the Recovery mode starts
(white screen).
3. Start by selecting "Repair Disk" and
follow the instructions displayed on the
screen.
4. If repairing the disk did not work, you
can restart the device and go into
recovery mode again and select
"Format Disk".
ATTENTION: Note that formatting will
erase all data on your ARCHOS device.
If your device can be connected to a PC
and be recognized, then we recommend
you to back up all data stored on your
ARCHOS onto your computer.
When I switch on my ARCHOS, the following message is displayed:
"Would you like to recover your system"?
You are on the recovery mode screen. It
means that your hard drive has been
corrupted and must be repaired or
formatted.
With this system recovery mode, you
will have to select between “Repair
Disk” or “Format Disk”.
1.Start by selecting “Repair Disk” and
follow the instructions displayed on the
screen.
2. If repairing the disk did not work, you
can restart the device and go into
recovery mode again and select
“Format Disk”.
