Transmission and Tinecase
IMPORTANT: Serious damage can be caused to
your transmission if it is allowed to run for even a
short time without proper amount of oil.
Every twenty five hours or at start of tilling operation
check oil level in the gear boxes. If necessary, add
Ariens L-2 Special Gear Lubricant at oil fill port, figure
5, check and replace plug when full.
To check the gear boxes, position tiller on a flat level
surface and remove the gear lubricant level check
plug. Oil level should run out of or be up to check
hole.
If oil level is low be sure gear case is level and add
oil at the oil fill port after clearing all dirt from fill port
area. Recheck for "full" and replace plug.
